Curly Hair Care For Men
Curls are not the sole female domain. Men too can have curly hair. Nowadays, men are more fashion conscious than women. They are more conscious about the personal grooming than their female counterpart. They always want to look good. Men need to trim their curls more frequently than women.
Given below are a few tips on how men can take care of their curly hair.
- You must use shampoos that suit your hair. Curly hairs are a bit dry and coarse. So you need to use a shampoo that will
moisturize it.
- As much as possible, you must try and dry your hair naturally. Do not use any kind of blow-drying.
- Do not use cheap products for styling. It need not be obscenely expensive but not dirt-cheap either.
- Use conditioners to keep your hair moisturized.
- Use silicone-enhanced products to control your frizz.
- Always comb hair with a wide toothed comb.
Hair needs to be properly cared irrespective of gender. If you do not take care of your hair at the right time, you will lose it. If you want to have hair that is healthy and glows, then you need to take proper care of it everyday. It should be a part of your daily routine and not a single day affair.

In addition to all of the other advice about gentle shampoos, conditioners, no brushes, etc., let me add my two cents. Be forewarned–if you are freaked out by guys who care too much about how their hair looks, or use traditionally feminine styling methods, stop reading right now and please don’t send me a nasty reply. But if you must, go ahead.
I am a middle aged guy with fairly long (for men) curly hair. It usually looks pretty good. I only shampoo my hair once a week, unless I do something that gets it really dirty. I condition my hair every day, and basically “shampoo” with conditioner. After blotting my hair to a “damp” state, I use a broad-toothed comb to curl different sections the way they naturally curl. After letting my hair dry naturally, I massage it all over with my hands, and then smooth it (again with my hands) into my style. If it is windy or damp, I hit it with some hairspray.
If it is a special occasion, I defy taboos and use a hot curling brush to make the curls more defined and smooth out the frizz. Then I style it with my hands. It looks great that way–I get lots of compliments but don’t advertise my methods because I don’t want to deal with the social stigma.

Tips are great. I was wondering if you have any recommendations for a styling cream and on the way you should style curly hair. Do you just style the way you want to look or do you have to go with the curl and adjust to the way your hair naturally curls. Thank you.
