Love your hair Debi , keep up the great work on “All My Children”
There was a time I could wear perms and braids but that day is over. I guess the stress of pinch braids on my edges left bald spots; perms left my hair stripped and weak. Years ago (over 20) my mom got me a jheri curl and that was the best thing that ever happened to me. It seems they don’t manufacture that product any longer. My hair was beautiful and grew thick and long; unfortunately a stylist talked me into getting a perm and promised to cut my ends – she cut all my beautiful hair.
I have grown the perm out now over 7 months and wear weave ’til I can find a suitable curly perm to grow and strengthen my hair like the jheri curl did. Can you help me? Is it sold locally – my zip code is 63011.
I read your post and I it was almost like I wrote it myself. I had the same problem and to make a long story short, I washed, oiled and twisted my own hair for the past 8 months. Now it is almost as long as it was when I was in high school. You may want to try this for a while
