Hair Care for kids
There are very few kids who will actually want to go to a salon. Salons are not an exciting place for them. Some children are very scared of the people and tools at the salon. But you cannot avoid getting your child’s hair cut forever. They will need to trim their hair at regular intervals for a healthy crop of hair. If you fail totally to take your kid to the salon, then the next option is to get the hair cut done yourself at home. But before you get down to do that, make sure that you know your child’s preferences. Nowadays, kids are very particular about how they look.
You need to teach your child how to take good care of his hair from an early age. Provide them with good quality brushes and combs and encourage him to brush his hair as many times he can during the day. Guide him on the shampoos and conditioner he needs to use. Do not allow him to color or perm his hair at such an early stage. Chemicals can really damage your hair.

I have a 2 year old biracial daughter and have been trying to figure out how to make her hair grow healthy and strong. It is very curly and thin. It can get dry the curls are tight and sometimes I do notice a dry scap. I wanted to get some advice and make sure the rountine I do on her hair promotes healthy hair and growth. I wash her hair mostly once a week every once in a whle twice with a moisturing shampoo. Then I gress her scap with root organic stimulator soy oil only once or twice a week and use pink oil moisture almost everyday to style it. To style i do 3 to 5 ponytails and i have to style everyday becasue her hair gets fizzy and the edges come out. Please give me advice on things i need to change or tell me if i am doing her haor correctly.

One thing that will really dry out her hair and cause it to become brittle is the pink oil moisturizer. Try for a more natural moisturizer or another product. I use all natural products in my hair which do fine for me (an olive oil, jojoba oil, & shea butter recipe) but you may want to try an over the counter product if you aren’t going the natural route. One thing that is definate, Pink Oil Moisturizer will definately dry her hair out and cause breakage.
