Straightening your Curly Hair
If you do not like your curls and craving to have straight hair, then you need to invest in a good quality flat iron. You can consult with your stylist about the brand. The flat irons that are available in a beauty supply store will have better heating surfaces and more control over temperature options. Buy a good protective spray for your hair. This will protect your hair from the heat.
Flat ironing your hair can make it dry. So use a deep conditioner and leave it in your hair for sometime. Use a wide toothed comb to comb your hair and eliminate the knots and tangles from your hair before you start the process of straightening your hair. Part your hair into two and take one side at a time. Use the iron gently and make sure that it is not too hot as it can burn your hair. Do not feel scared if you see steam rising. The plates get quite hot and there may be some moisture left, as a result of which the steam comes out. After your hair is straightened, avoid using mousse as you it may cause your hair to curl up again.

Hello Jackie,
Yes, frizz and damage comes from over processing your hair…straightening is not good for your hair, on a regular basis. We can certainly answer any questions you have about caring for your natural hair, we do not advise on straightening.
