I love it and am seeing her curls fall a bit more and we get stopped constantly when in public with positive comments about her hair. My question is- the directions on the website say to use the custard every other day, why is this? My daughter has very needy curls, because of the thickness, so on days that she is not getting washed, I have been spraying with the moist curls and then using the custard, but I don't want to over use if it will damage her hair. One other question- because of the extreme thickness in the back of her head the curls back there often clump together and get matted, is there anything I can do to help this? When my daughter's hair is wet it falls below her shoulders, but when dry it does not even touch her shoulders. Thanks in advance!
They say to use the custard every other day because your daughter might wear hair hair in a pontail on some days, which you would use the milkshake instead of the custard. NONE of the products of damaging in any way!

for her shrinkage problem try using this regimen.

On wash day, wash and deep condition (or regular condition if you only deep condition once a monlth) your daughter hair with the recommended products from th Curly Q's line (Curlie Cutie Cleansing Cream and Coconut Cream Conditioner) the coconut cream conitioner can be a deep conditioner as well, with or without out heat. After rinsing out the conditioner, section your daughter's hair off into 4 parts. Take down a section, spray it with Moist Curls Moisturizer, and then begin detangling that section always working from the bottom upwards. After detangling, proceed to braid that section. And, at the end of the braid make sure to put a twistie or scrunchie on it to keep the braid from coming loose. Now, once you have finished braiding the first section, then you just repeat the same practice over again-spray, detangle, braid. make sure they are tight enough to keep length. You can also put on a silk scarf before she goes to bed to protect her curls.

The next morning, you would take down the braids(your daughter should have less SHRINKAGE).Then spray a few sprays of Moist Curls Moisturizer all over your daughter's hair, making sure to spray her hair from the top working on down to the ends. Now, if you want to put your daughter's hair in a ponytail, apply about the size of a half dollar of the CurlyQ Milkshake to your daughter's hair (you can add more if your daughter's hair is very dry or relatively thick) and evenly distribute it all over your daughter's head. Lastly, you would comb the product through and then just pull your daughter's hair back into a ponytail and use a scrunchie or barrette to affix the ponytail into place. Another styling option would be a long single braid down her back(which would properly show full length). Also, you can let her wear her hair completely down, and just just replace the CurlyQ Milkshake with the Custard.

At night in between hairwashings, you would just simply take her hair out of the ponytail (if not in ponytail just simply follow the next step).Next simply place the child's hair in a low ponytail and braid the pony part(the hair that's hanging out of the scuchie) and she can wear a slik scarf to protect her hair if wanted, and she is off to bed! then in the morning follow the same procedure in the 2nd paragrapgh.

by following this regimin I am sure she with have pretty less shrinkage curls!.. just a note.. tangles may also cause shrinkange so make sure when detangling,to get all of the knots out! (if you have a hard to get through tangle which is less likely to happen...spray a little more of the curly Q's moisterizer/detangler on the knot and use your figers to seperate the knot.

happy curly!
