I'm new here. My daughter is five years old. She has truly kinky curls. I'm attaching 2 pics. In one her hair is natural and in the other it's straightened. Just trying to beat you to the punch since I've noticed that you sometimes ask to see pics.
What haircare regimen should I be using? I would like her to be able to wear her hair down naturally and to bring out the natural curls in her hair. I've been trying for so long to go against her curls (using the same products I use, straightening it, etc) and just recently had the epiphany that I should be working WITH her kinky curls, not against them! I suppose it just seemed natural to be that way because ever since I was old enough to take care of my own hair, it was already relaxed. So, my sister and I never truly learned how to take care of natural hair. I'm learning now though!! No sulfates or mineral oil, no combing or brushing when dry, etc. I want to use a line that's appropriate for her type of hair AND for her age. I now realize how important that is. This product line sounds great and if it works for my daughter, I will be singing its praises to as many people as I can!!!
