As, first you would spray your hair with the Curls Quenched and then apply one of the Curls styling creams over it.

I have Type 3b medium-to-thick curls and I honestly rarely use just Curls Quenched alone in my hair in between wash days. As, I always combine Curls Quenched with one of the Curls cream stylers.

Also, I only detangle my hair once a week at the most. As, I detangle my hair only when its wet. And, in between hair washes, I fingercomb my curls instead of using a comb or brush.

Oh, and you can do conditioner rinses on your hair in between your next shampoo
day. As, this will allow you the opportunity to midly cleanse and condition your hair and that should in turn help more in decreasing the amount of tangling that you get.

B.T.W. Wearing a satin bonnet to bead is always a great thing to do to protect curly hair overnight. So, I am glad that you are protecting your hair correctly at night.
Soblessed I spray my hair with the Curls quenched moisturizer about 7 pumps over my entire head, but my hair is so thick alot of my hair was still dry and I did not want to spray any more because, I did not want to empty the bottle onto my head. I did notice that after I sprayed my hair, it felt kind of sticky so I figured that I may have applied to much of the curls milkshake the day before.

So what I did was a conditioning rinse and applied the Curls quenched moisturizer and the Curls milkshake, I put my hair into a ponytail and let it air dry. The next day I left the ponytail in and applied the curls quenched moisturizer only to the puff and applied a little of the Curls milkshake around my hair to smooth it out so that it would look a little decent and that worked, but it did not look as good as the day before. Am I doing something wrong?

LissaJ, because your hair is quite thick, leaving your hair in a ponytail and just putting product on the hair sticking out of the puff and around the hairline is necessarily the best way to go for your hair. When you do put your hair in a ponytail or puff from now on, you would first spray yout hair with Curls Quenched. Second, you would apply Curls Milkshake to your hair. Third, you would brush your har back into a ponytail or puff. Fourth, you would apply small amounts of Curls Euphoria Elixir (optional) around the hairline to smooth down any flyaways. And, at night you would take your hair out of the ponytail or puff and cover your hair and then go to bed.

Also, you can certainly conditioner rinse your hair a more than once a week. Because, if you feel that your hair would benefit more from daily co-washes, instead of waiting only once a week to wash and detangle your hair, then by all means you should do that. But, just make sure that you do a thorough cleansing of your hair with a non-sulfate shampoo once a week. And, after sampoos, it is always recommeded that one tbest always make sure to comb your conditioner through your hair as this helps so much with tangling as well.

I have a quick question on my product selection. So far I am getting great results using the quenched curls spray, milkshake, and goddess glaze. I spray the hair with the quenched curls first, rake through the milkshake and add the goddess glaze on top and I am out the door. However those products are only working for puff and ponytail type hair styles. Whenever I try and wear my hair loose my curls shrink up really badly and I have a tight curly afro. With other stylers my hair does not shrink up nearly as much and I still have high curl definition. What would you recommend for wash and go/ loose hair, so far I cannot get the products to work for me in that manner. If you like, I can send you the link to my fotki if you want to take a better look at my hair. I have combo 3c/4a hair and tons of mini-coils. My hair is on the fine side, it not dense at all. But I wondered what your initial thoughts might be. Also, which of the conditioners should I be using for a co-wash. I was using the coconut sublime, but my hair retailer who I get your products from says since my hair is color treated I should use the tea therapy. Can the tea therapy be used as a leave-in?

I know that was more than one question, but I desperately appreciate the help!!

Hello there!

I advise you to use the Curls Milkshake, alone, after moisturizing first with Quenched Curls moisturizer. Curls Goddess Glaze is super curl enhancing, so if you are experiencing extra shrinkage, and you have enough curls, skip the CGG and go for the CMS alone.

Since you are color treated, I would recommend that you do use the Curl Ecstasy Hair Tea conditioner, your retailer is absolutely correct. You can also leave in the CEHT, i often do...it leaves soft, springy curls. Sometimes i mix a little oil with it and use it alone.

FYI - we are adding an organic oil blend soon...stay tuned!

Thanks Mahisha for the tips!! I love the goddess gel, but I will try and just style my hair with the milkshake alone and see how that works. I will try the CEHT as well. I will let you know how it goes. I am happy to know that new products are in the works, I cannot wait

Wink Natural hair lacks shine

Hello, I went natural a month ago. I chopped all the relaxed hair off. I have a tiny afro right now. I was still hard pressed to figure out why I am not getting the results I am looking for. I initially ordered the transitioning diva kit. I used it as directed and my hair was nice. But it didnt have much luster and after a few hours it felt very dry. I even tried samples of the goddess glaze. Please help me decide what product will help me? Thanks

Hello Dashonna! Welcome to the forum!

Here's all that you will need to style your hair with: Curls Whipped Cream and Curls Euphoria Elixir. Now, the Curls Whipped Cream would not only be more moisturizing to your hair, but it would also provide it with more softness. And, it would help to give your hair more of a defined look to it. Also, the Curls Euphoria Elixir will acts as both a hair smoother and shine enhancer. So, you should see better results with the usage of both of these products.

Here's what you should do after you wash and condition your hair:

First, you will spray your hair with Curls Quenched all over. Next, you will take a section of hair and detangle it with a brush or comb. After detangling the section, then apply Curls Whipped Cream to it. Once Curls Whipped Cream has been applied, you can then just take another section of hair and repeat the same process again until you have finished detangling and apply product to your entire head.

Next, take a few small dabs of the Curls Euphoria Elixir and use it smoother down the hair around your hairline and edges. And, you can also use a little bit of it throughout your hair to add sheen to it and extra softness and frizz control as well. Lastly, after you have finished applying all of the products to your hair then just let your hair airdry.

When you go to bathe, keep your hair covered with a plastic cap in order to keep it from getting wet in between hair washes. Also, at night you should either be sleeping on a sating pillowcase or have your head covered with a satin bonnet for protective measures.

In the mornings, you only need to redampen your hair with Curls Quenched and then apply Curls Whipped Cream to your hair for styling, and Curls Euphoria Elixir for smoothing and shine purposes.

Smile Cant wait to try

Thanks so blessed. I cant wait to try them both. However, the whipped cream is out of stock in all but sample sizes so I will have to wait. Do you know when I should try back for it? Thanks
