But I was wondering if your products have any animal by-products in them? And if any of the product ingredients have ever been tested on animals? I'm vegan so I guess I was wondering your products were vegan as well.

ETA: I've e-mailed customer service several times with this issue and I haven't gotten a response back.

Being both a "Board Administrator" and someone who is very knowledgeable of the Curls line, I can say that the Curls products do not have any animal derived ingredients (such as animal flesh or dead animals in them) and none of the ingredients are tested on animals either. As, the products before they are released are actually tested on people versus animals.

The Curls, CurlyQ, and It's A Curl Lines are paraben free and contain natural oils, exotic extracts, and hydrating humectants all combined into special blends.

So, yes someone who is a vegan can feel safe using the products. As, Curls has no cleansers, conditioners, styling, or finishing products that contain any animal flesh or dead animal derivatives in them whatso ever.

And, I am sorry that your answer hadn't been answered before. However, thanks so much for posting it here as well.

Oh thank you so much for telling me this. I just love the curls products and wanted to have more in depth knowledge on the ingredients.

No, there are no animal by products (no animal flesh or parts of dead animals) in any of the Curls products.
