After conditioning, Mikosbelle, you would spray about 5-7 sprays of the Quenched Curls Moisturizer to your wet curls first. Next, section your hair off into parts. Take one part, detangle working from the bottom to the top. Lastly, apply about a quarter size of Spiral Curls Cream or less (depending on your hair's length and thickness) and apply it to that section making sure to thoroughly smooth it through. Once you have finished that section, you just move on to another and repeat the whole process. Now, if you get to a section that has started to dry out, just do about 2-3 sprays on Curls Quenched Moisturizer on it to re-wet. And, after you have finished detangling and applying product to all sections, you would let it airdry (or you can use a diffuser if that is what you are comfortable with.

In between washings, you would re-apply Curls Quenched to first re-freshen your curls. Second, you would work in your hair about the size of a half dollar of the Spiral Curls Cream all over your head. Overall, the Spiral Curls Cream will give a little less hold to your hair than the Curls Goddess Glaze does and it will also help with frizz protection as well.

Thanks soblessed, I plan to try that combo out in the spring for sure. I did notice that the spiral curls cream was discontinued, so after I finish up this bottle I won't be able to repurchase it. I guess that is good for a pj like me!

Yep, we did discontinue Spiral Curls Cream, as we found, after numerous blind tests, that it performs identically to our current Curls Souffle.

Have you tried it for your curly hair?

Wink Another 4a/b representin'! lol

Another proud 4 a/b here. I have VERY thick, tightly coiled hair, but on a good hair day, those coils look like perfect little ringlets. I usually use the Milkshake daily and the Whipped Cream when I wash and for the BOMB twists and twistouts! My hair is ultra soft in a twistout using the WC and the style will hold for a few days! I can't wait to try the Goddess Glaze. I got it as a sample and heard it is just a good as the the Curling Custard for hold. Will see and post the results. I am a product junky (not even recovering! lol). I use most of the Curls products and they have not failed me yet!

I transitioned for just over 1 year. I loved my length and was afraid of the "big chop" (that was NEVER an option for me and glad I transitioned MY WAY). It was hard dealing with the many different textures of my hair, but my patience paid off. I usually 2-strand twisted or flat twisted since I do not know how to cornrow (sad isn't it!). My hair is longer and stronger now than it ever was when I relaxed it (between my shoulder blades when stretched). Gotta love it!

Products I use are:
Curls: Milkshake, WC, Quenched, Curlicious Cleanse, Coconut Sublime or Asian Tea (love it!) conditioners. Have yet to try the Goddess Glaze and Souffle.
Kinky-Curly: Curling Custard (great stuff for really stretching out my curls!) and Knot Today (not a huge fan of this product though).
My Recipes: Shea butter, mango butter, jojoba oil, avocado oil, and vitamin E and a fragrance oil for scent. When this is melted, I used this as a scalp oil. When it is creamy/solid, I use it to moisturize my hair overnight.

Yes I did try a sample of the curls souffle. I prefer the milkshake and the whipped cream though. If I do like the spirl curls cream I could try the souffle again though as an alternative.

Smile What is your routine for twist outs?

Hi Mikosbelle,

I am a newbie here and glad to see your post. Can you tell me what your routine is when you do your twist outs?

How long do they last, and what do you do with your hair at night?

I really don't do twist-outs. I am still trying to learn how to do those. I mainly wear buns or two-strand twists.

Maybe someone else can give some twist-out guidance.

I'm brand new to natural hair and Curls products. I'm a 3c/4a I think. I've just tried Souffle and Whipped Cream. I love the look of natural hair, but mine seems to come out looking like I have a jerri-curl. I'm open to any suggestion.

Abricket, the Curls products are very concentrated so always start with smaller amounts. And, then if your hair needs more moisturization and/or frizz control then just add a bit more. When, I first started using the Souffle and Whiped Cream I would be heavyhanded with them and this would cause my curls to get that Jherri Curl look to it.

I have used a lot of styling products in my hair since I started wearing my hair curly. And, the ones that I have always been geared toward using are the ones that are touted as being very moisturizing.
Now, even though a product may be moisturizing and touted as being nongreasy, it can have a tendency to overmoisturize the hair when used in large amounts and cause a bit of greasiness. So, that in essence is what would cause one's hair to look like it has a Jherri Curl in it.

So, if I were you, I would try lessening the amounts of the Curl Souffle and Whipped Cream that you use in your hair.
