Default I have 4b and 4a sections

I am a proud combination head! 4A and 4B reppin' here...
I typically conditioner wash and moisturize with BE products. I really like the Protective Bodifying Mist, it detangles, moisturizes, and is perfect to use daily.

I'm a proud, newly discovered 4A. I'm new to the natural hair scene. It will be one year since my big chop in May. Curls was one of the first natural hair products that I've tried but I'm wanting to try other products ranges as well just to see what else is out there.

Hi 4s!!!!!! I am a 4b/4c Gal! I have been natural for 2 years now. I am a PRODUCT JUNKIE! I have been searching and searching and searching for a product that will provide me with elongated Curls, while at the same time, air dries quickly . . . but does not dry out my hair. My hair is thick, so it takes several hours for my hair to dry 90%. I usually wind up applying heat to dry my hair completely. I cannot go outside with damp hair because I will get sick. I use Curls Whipped Cream for my Twists and love it; but I sometimes just want a head full of curls without having to twist and then untwist. Retwisting my hair every night and untwisting it every morning has gotten old. I don't like to leave my hair twisted because I don't think they look right on me. :) LOL Any suggestions?

Welcome Naturally_coily and Sgallo!I am a PJ by heart, so I am right there with you Sgallo! Sgallo, because you are a 4b/c doesn't mean that your hair doesn't have a curl to it. Its just that the your curls are more more condensed than say a Type 3 hairtype. Therefore, you have what is commonly known as tight coils.

Do you have a Denman brush? As, the Denman No. 3 or 4 are what alot of natural ladies use to detangle and help elongate their curls. The Denman brush is a good brush to use to detangle and help smooth out your curls while your hair is wet. As, a curly is never to brush their hair when it is dry. And, Curls does sell Denman Brush No.3, in case you are interested in getting one.

You can use Curls Goddess Glaze, as it is very good at adding extra curl definition, providing extra hold, and protectig your curls against frizz. Also, you can twist your hair with it and it will hold the curl in for a longer period of time. Therefore, you wouldn't need to keep re-twisting your hair everyday.

And, at night if you aren't already sleeping on a stain pillowcase or covering your head with a satin bonnet, I would suggest that you protect your curls at night by either sleeping on a satin pillowcase or covering your head with a satin bonnet. As, this will keep your curls from losing much of their form overnight and protect them from tangling as well.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Hi my fellow curly coily 4s, as I have probably already mentioned that I'm a PJ I have many products I use, it really depends on the weather. In the winter I use BB products and in the summer I use Curls, I also use JC, KC, BSC, MC for special occasions and I want my hair to hang in a certain way.

My favourite all year rounders...
Shampoo: Curls Cleansing conditioner
Conditioner: MC, BB Cleansing conditioner and the Curls conditioners
Leave-in Conditioner: Quenched Curls Moisturiser
Styler:Curly qs custard and Curls souffle
Gel: Fantasia IC

Default 4B Hair & Summer

Greetings fellow 4 level folks...I'd like to find a way to continue using milkshake in the summer. I've tried, but even with Goddess Glaze (which I love), my hair frizzes up...any ideas out there? I'm open to suggesion! I pretty much am a curls girl and want to stay that way. My hair is really thin, especially through the crown area, so twists, etc are hard for me to work with. Oh, and Mahisha, I'm so loving this forum!

hello Dee,

Hmmm...i suggest forgoing the milkshake, in the midst of summer's humidity. Use the glaze alone. I use it when i am in humid climates, on top of Quenched and that works wonders. Have you tried these two together?
