Welcome Aleyda! You have such a beautiful name!
I don't know if you are a teenager or of adult age. But, I listed all of the products from the Curls for Women, as I am guessing that you are of adult age. If not, then just let me know, okay.
Now, fom what you have written, then you must have hair that is in the Type 3 Category while your mother is more of a Type 4. And, yes, Curls products can help in giving you both added curl definition, moisture, softness, and controlability to your hair.
You can either opt to start out with a sample Kit or the full-sized products. The sample kit that would be best for you to strt out with would be the "Curls Essentials+Whiped Cream Sample Kit. It offers 2 oz. sizes of the following: Curls Curliscious Cleansing Cream, Coconut Sublime Coconut Conditioner, Quenched Curls Moisturizer & Curls Whipped Cream. As, this offers you the best opportunity for you to try smaller sizes of the products, in order for you to see how they would work out for your hair.
Now, if you want to buy the full-sizes insterad of the sample sizes then I would suggesting you starting with these three products first: Curls Curliscious Cleansing Cream, Curls Asian Hair Tea Conditioner, Curls Quenched Moisturizer and Curls Whipped Cream. And, with every purchase that you make, you have the option of requesting 3 free sample-sized products of your choice). You would simply write what sample sized products you would like to have sent out to you in the "Comments" box during checkout.
I would suggest you only detangle your natural hair once a week. I like to detangle my hair first with a wide-toothed comb, while it has loads of conditioner in it. And, I do a second (more thorough detangling) after I have rinsed out the conditioner from my head. I'll either spray my hair all over with Curls Quenched Moisturizer first and then part my hair off and then begin detangling each section at a time (with a brush) or I'll spray one section of my hair with Curls Quenched and then detangle each section at a time with a brush. By the way. after, I have detangled a section, I always apply styling cream immediately to that section before moving on to another section to detangle it.
And, always make sure that you cover your head with a satin bonnet or scarf before going to bed (if you don't have a satin pillowcase that you sleep on). As, As, you hair will need to be protected at night by the satin in order to keep it from getting very tangled or matted while you sleep.
Oh, and everything that I have written about how you should take care of your hair is exactly the same as what your mother needs to do in order to take care of her locks as well.
If you have any more questions or concerns, then please don't hesitate to post them! As, you will surely find a lot of help here.
