Ladyhawk, that is a good suggestion and your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Now, I can tell you that a quick remedy for your dry scalp problem would be for you to apply coconut oil on your scalp a few times a week. I used to suffer from a dry scalp alot, probably more in the past than I do now, and that was actually what got me initially hooked on using coconut oil in the first place.

The only coconut oil brand that I don't recomend you buying is from the Parachute brand. As, their coconut oil has a pungent odor to it, which I don't find to be normal at all. You can check at your local health fooods store, Whole Foods, Krogers, and even Wal-Mart's Supercenters sell 100% Coconut Oil (which can be found down the isle where they sell cooking oil and olive oil on). I do't know if the one that is sold at Wal-Mart is refined or unrefined, but it works nonetheless. I get my Extra Virgin Coconut Oil now, from Wilderness Family Naturals. And, here's the link for the site (in case your are interested) - Centrifuged Coconut Oil

Never thought about using pure coconut oil. Do you wash it out after you let it set on your scalp (like a hot oil treatment)?

Ladyhalk, yes you most certainly can use coconut oil warmed up as a hot oil treatment in the hair. As, it is a natural oil that does offer softness and lots of hydration to the hair.

Also, coconut oil can be added to any hair product of your choice to boost its moisturizing properties. And, you can apply a little bit of coconut oil to wet or dry hair in order to give the hair a moisture and softness boost. As, coconut oil is a multipurpose oil and it actually has the ability to penetrate both the hair and scalp.

Here's a specific recipe "For Shiny and Soft Hair that involves coconut oil:

1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil
3 Tablespoons of Sour Cream

Mix the ingredients and apply them on hair.
Wrap a towl around it and let it rest for 30 minutes
Shampoo and rinse off well

This is a good suggestion! Thanks for the input!

Now, for a quick remedy, I do suggest you applying tea tree oil to your scalp. You would add tea tree to your shampoo for dandruff, dry, or oily scalp, and itchy scalp. You would use 10 drops to an 8 ounce bottle.

Shimmi, thanks for providing great feedback regarding Curls Quenched Moisturizer. Everyone's suggestions on product are always kept into consideration whenever changes are considered necessary with any of the Curls products or even with it comes to providing additions to the line.

Also, in regards to Curls bath products, I just wanted to let you know that certain products are introlduced into the Curls line periodically. However, the chancess of these products becoming long-lasting additions to the line depend very much upon customer demand. So, that is why you don't currently see Curls offering any bath products as a part of the line.

Default Hair Accessories for Thick Hair, Please!

I would love to see comfortable, quality hair accessories for people with thick hair. I can't tell you how many covered elastic hair bands, hair clamps, etc. me and my daughters go through every few months!

Any thick-haired curlies with me on this out there?

Smile Hair Accessories for Thick Hair

mamato2

I agree with you on the hair accessories.

So Blessed, it would be great to see more quality hair accessories on the Curls website to choose from as I myself have broken many hair clips, elastic covered bands, etc., when trying to get them on and around my hair. Also, more styling tools for us curlies and maybe a larger jar of the Elixir. I like to use it 2 or 3 times a week on my hair when either wearing my curly hair out or in a 2 strand twist and for hot oil treatments.

Curls will definitely look into adding more hair accessories to the line in the future. As, ladies I do understand your neeed for more additions to be made to the CURLS hair accessories line.

Now, the hair accessories that CURLS sells are bought from outside companies to be sold here on the CURLS site for profit. As, Curls currently doesn't manufacture any of the hair accesories tht are sold on its website. And, that is why CURLS has to go through a select process of finding reputable companies that offer marketable hair accesories that would sell real well amongst the CURLS customers.

Also, as far as the Elixir jar coming in a big container, I can tell that there aren't any current plans at this time to do so. As, Curls normally does make changes to product sizes or even containers when there is a huge customer demand behind it. So, even though CURLS doesn't have any current plans to change the size of the Euphoria Elixir, this does not rule out the possibilty of such a size change ever happening at all, okay.
