We absolutely love this product! It is very effective for our girls hair. We used the Mimosa not only on our girls' scalps but also their hair during two weeks of intensive sun and chlorine exposure. We were in the pool for hours each day. For the first week I thoroughly coated each section of hair with the Mimosa after shampooing & conditioning and before braiding. At the end of the first week, their hair looked as shiny as it had after application of the Mimosa. For the second week I did not use shampoo. I washed their hair with conditioner, squeezed out the excess water and again coated each section thoroughly with the Mimosa. Their hair is still shiny and healthy looking in spite of the chlorine exposure. Please note, we tried to use swim caps each time we were out & this certainly added to the efficacy of the product. I do wish it were a little less expensive, but it was worth every penny for the way it protected the girls hair. In regular situations we will use the product more sparingly.
