Hello,
My name is Melissa, I am the proud mother of Jada and Ashley, the Curly Q twins. I am happy to share our curly hair care regime with you!
After years, and I mean years, of searching for the right product for my biracial children I saw Mahisha on Good Day Sacramento introducing her hair care products and thought, "I might as well give this a try, too". I've been a loyal customer ever since! Here is a basic sample of how I care for my daughter’s hair with CURLY Q products.
After thoroughly wetting the hair in the shower I section it off starting underneath at the nape of the neck and apply a nickel size amount of Coconut Dream Conditioner to each section. I leave it on for about 5 minutes, detangle the hair with CURLS hand held detangler, and then rinse out. I do this every day. After they get out of the shower I separate the hair again and apply CURLY Q Moist Curls Moisturizer to each section and finger through. Finally, I braid their hair with one single braid and they are off to bed. In the morning I take out the braid and just refresh the hair with a few spritz of water and a little bit of CURLY Q Moisturizer and, depending on the days hairstyle, I apply CURLY Q Milkshake (for a ponytail day) or CURLY Q Custard (if they wear their hair down). The CURLY Q Custard really defines the curls and weighs it down just enough so it doesn't end up "poofy" by 12 p.m. ...and the scent is truly heavenly!!!!
I shampoo Jada and Ashley's hair once a week with Curlie Cutie Cleansing Cream and on that day I also deep condition their hair with Curl Ecstacy Asian Hair Tea conditioner. To deep condition I, again, separate the hair and apply about a quarter size amount of Hair Tea to each section sometimes applying more to an "unruly" part of their hair. I also concentrate on the hair line and the ends of the hair seeing that this is where some breakage occurs. When I am done with the final section I twist their hair and clip it to the top of their head. When they get out of the shower they put on a plastic shower cap and a heated Micro Hair Cap. They leave the Micro Hair Cap on for about 30 minutes then I take it off and partially rinse out the Asian Hair Tea; I like to leave some in for added moisture. Then, I scrunch the hair with a t- shirt to get out the excess water. I, then, continue the routine by applying Moist Curls Moisturizer and braiding the hair into one braid for the evening.
By following this routine Jada and Ashley's hair has never been healthier or looked better. They never cry or give me a hard time when it's time to do their hair because the CURLY Q Moist Curls Moisturizer is not only a great moisturizer but a fantastic detangler, too! Every time we go out they get compliments on their hair. Thank you, Mahisha!
